Reading this a bit late but…

This was hi-larious. Particular props for the visual format.

BTW, for those who like watching their German national epics as opposed to reading them, Fritz Lang did a pretty neat version of the Nibelungenlied. The 1920s special effects dragon is ten times more fake-lookin’ than the first King Kong, but hey, that still beats most Sci-Fi Channel CGI!

Compared to this turkey, HAWK the SLAYER was a triumph of cinematic art. Although I have to disagree on one point. Alicia Witt is sublime.

Every once in a while I feel sad that I cannot afford cable and watch the shows that the other cool kids are watching at the same time, instead of waiting until they come out on DVD and borrowing the videos. Then I read a review like this, and I don't feel quite so bad about not having the gelt for cable... (This is really, really awful. It sounds like one of those things where you just go WHY?!?!?! Why did they bother to even try to wreck it? without even Teh Funny (Inadvertent) of, oh, Uwe Boll or Hawk The Slayer) (NSFW, Coffee, or Cats)

This is almost unfair. Beating up on a Sci Fi Channel movie is like beating up on a puppy. A rabid, demon-possessed hellhound puppy. I mean, you just *have* to do it.

She was far too kind to this movie. By international law, this movie can only be played in the northern hemisphere from west to east or else it could reverse the jet stream from how hard it sucks.
