Thanks so much! Wow I’m totally surprised by this!

Just wanna say that I thought ChiaLynn and Nina’s stories were awesome. ChiaLynn’s has some amazing imagery and the use of cutting was so great and I love Nina’s “Open Sesame” just love the first person narrative and the fact that it was based in Oakland.

Again thank you guys very much and congratulations to ChiaLynn, Nina and everyone who entered and put their work out there, we all know that’s not easy.

Congratulations to all the winners. Great stories. This contest was very important to me, because English is not my native language and I just wanted to see if I have any chance. Now I know. Anyway, I just want to say that my story sounds a lot better in my native language. Big hug and thank you!

Wow — YAY! I am so excited to be in this group. Naamen and ChiaLynn’s stories were both awesome; I loved Naamen’s updating of Hansel and Gretel, and that fruit-cutting imagery you used was priceless, ChiaLynn.
