Absolutely a sweet, beautiful story. My mind went in all sorts of directions with this (from Disturbia to Silence of the Lambs to all sorts of delicious horror) but I'm so thrilled to find that I was completely wrong on all accounts! Well done and I will be looking for copies of this authors work in my constant search for good literature to feast upon. :0)
