That was very nice! Total ditto new take on vampires from someone else who is tired of vampires. I don’t know if you meant it, but I totally imagined some kind of past distant medieval African setting. Loved that.

I really enjoyed this story. I felt for the poor woman and the pain she tried to seperate from herself rather than live with it. It’s something a lot of us can relate to in one form or another. I love fantasy that has such a heady dose of reality. Wonderful. I want to read more of your work!

Very nice story–I loved the new take on vampires (and this from someone who’s bored to death of those), and the way the beating of the iron heart weaves itself throughout the narrative.
