Breathtakingly painful, as such a story must always be, but beautiful too. I love the idea of Geddarien.

Thank you all very much. I'm happy you enjoyed the story.

Michael - Geddarien comes from my own private mythology; it is not, alas, a Jewish legend.

Great story, Rose!

While understandably melancholy considering the subject matter, this really provided a great escape for me today.

On a deeper level, I loved the idea of the moving houses. I thought that was a brilliant metaphor for how a culture/family heritage can move from one place to another.

A bittersweet tale with the melodic language conveying the emotion of the music we can almost hear. Thank you.

beautiful piece. Holocaust fantasy always leaves me wishing that the world could have such miracles.

Did you create the idea of "Geddarien" or does it come from somewhere? I've never heard of it before, but it has the quality of old Jewish legend, like the 36 Tzaddikim or Elijah visiting the Seder. Kudos either way.
