Amal: Since this is Kate, she undoubtedly had some self-justified reason for stealing everyone's conditioner, and she probably also stole all of the Dharma conditioner as well...

Um. I'm sorry. Was there an interview somewhere on this page? I was staring at the photo of Kim with his shirt open.

...OK, seriously -- I watched the first episode of "Lost" to try and figure out what everyone was raving about, and I have to admit, that whole interaction between Kim's character and his wife, and the Harold Perrineau character, pissed me off so much that I didn't want to see any more. It's nice to know that it got better, but I think it really is important that TV producers/writers think about the hazards of hitting the stereotype buttons as a character's first introduction. Some viewers, especially those who've been burned too many times by this kind of thing, may not stick around to see if the character's depiction becomes more nuanced.

Jin! Jin! Jin!

The question I still have is how did his skin remain in such beautiful condition after all of that bouncing around in the sun and salt water while time jumping and all that? What moisturizer is he using, and can I have some?

(Of course, as a friend pointed out, when time travelling, it helps to bring a skilled makeup artist along...)

I loooove Lost. But my problem with it is that it had such a diverse cast then slowly but surely every black character was killed off. Why is that?

I've really enjoyed Lost, but one thing I will never really get over is how they got the Korean actors to do the scenes in Korea in Korean -- but mysteriously had the scenes in Iraq be in English, with the very occasional sentence in horribly mangled Arabic no one could be bothered to coach. Which -- yeah. Of course. Everyone in Iraq speaks accented English, except for the occasional nonsensical Arabic statement. Sure!

Kim is fabulous, though.
