My video player in joomla doesn't play videos in firefox if the latest flash player isn't installed. I'd like to have it like a professional player to show a dialog saying: "Do you want to install flash player 10" or how it says when you go to a professional website so users don't have to search and download flash player manually.... . Does anyone know, how to do this?.

I found it entertaining, wish they would make more. Red Dwarf has always been entertaining. I dare say it, love it more then star trek and star wars combined. Maybe I'm just crazy... this mini series gave us a glimmer of hope, that the story could continue on. Is it true they have began shooting for a next season? I really really hope so.

I have to disagree with the previous 2 posters. Although this wasn't RD in its prime (Gunmen of the Apocalypse, Back to Reality), this was definitely RD proving that it can still deliver almost 10 years on. The subtle digs (and the not-so-subtle ones) to Blade Runner were well conceived and executed brilliantly. The photograph analysis being my favourite case in point.

Yes, the "travelling to an alternate universe to meet your creator" stuff has already been done (one of the best by Terry Pratchett, though I can't find a copy these days). It takes a lot of nerve to go over something that's been done as many times as this and the RD crew do it proud.

Loved the new look of the ship, loved the nods to old episodes, loved seeing the cast back together again, even if it was for 3 short episodes and an equally enjoyable documentary.

They keep coming back to Trek every 10 years or so, and it keeps on getting worse. This is proof that when you let the Brits do it, we get it right.

Off to a meeting in 5 minutes so just a quick comment. I agree with shadowfirebird but I'll go further to say that I thought "Back to Earth" was terrible! I had family and friends over on Good Friday, when the first episode was aired in the UK, and we all settled down to watch it but we were all sadly disappointed. A really dire, drab, half-arsed way to sign off... Yes, it did seem like fan fiction, yes it obviously nicked from Blade Runner etc but it also trod upon, or blatantly ripped off, one of their own plots from a much earlier series. Quite lazy, really, and considering the time constraints put on the cast/crew to film it (Craig Charles was only given a week off Corrie, apparently) they should've re-considered. Special effects of a higher budget were there, yes, but they weren't very good - compositing was terrible! I don't know if that was done on purpose or not, though, to try to retain a low budget look but, yes, upsetting for an old Red Dwarf fan.

And now i'm late for my meeting, dammit!

I'm afraid I didn't think it was "a beautiful moment of meta-fictional frisson". I thought it was half-arsed fan-fiction plot #1.

You know, the one where the author travels to the "fictional universe" and meets the characters that he is supposed to be writing fan fiction about, or vice-versa?

It *is* possible to write good fiction like this, just not easy. I remember reading a scene where the author plays the entire fourth season of Blake's Seven to the crew of the Liberator. The horror and confusion on their faces was brilliantly done...

Still, you expect better than this from a professional production. Shame, because I really *wanted* to like it. Still, better than season 8...
