I enjoyed this story but the author might want to change the cat’s sex; tortoiseshell and calico cats are invariably female.

I enjoyed this story. The ending was perfect.

I have to say, though, that I was slightly bothered by the fact that Jim puts on his shoes and his jacket, goes outside, and then wishes he had his jacket. Did I miss something? Maybe I missed something. Anyway, beautiful.
