articles, comics, reviews, Saturday, December 5th, 2009

This week’s Snapshots will, review by review, reduce into nothingness like that alien code in Independence Day. However rather than heralding impending space ray doom (unless you are a golden retriever) this will in fact just save me a bit of time. Or will it?

Comics Reviews: Razorjack

comics, reviews, Thursday, October 22nd, 2009

Higgins never really transcends the medium of horror, but he delivers a solidly scary tale, enough to justify the impressive visuals. This would be a good comic for the Clive Barker aficionado in your life, or somebody who digs demons and the cops that hunt them.

As all the Avengers with freaky powers are knocked for six by a device that drains their abilities. It is left to the all-too-human Mockingbird to try and defend her fallen friends against the godlike Wrecking Crew. Balls! Wrecking Balls.

Every week (more or less) our devastatingly handsome comic reviewer Paul Duggan gives us the lowdown on comics that have inspired, amused, bored or downright annoyed him. These comics are taken from Paul’s personal purchase pile, which tends to meander over Marvel, Vertigo, Dark Horse and IDW titles.

Deadpool: Merc With a Mouth #2

Deadpool: Merc With a Mouth #2

comics, reviews, Thursday, August 27th, 2009

Due largely to his caustic nature, Deadpool struck a chord with fans and over the years has shuffled sideways from villain to confused anti-hero. He is often used by writers to satirise other superhero titles and frequently breaks through the third wall.
